Superb LCD TV5
I brought this HDTV even after reading the previous two reviews. Now that I had it for a while, I can say that this one excellent HDTV. I will address the biggest complaint in the two previous reviews, the sound quality. Well, the sound system to this TV will not be overpowering to anyone but it also quite functional. Chances are, if this is your primary TV set, you will have the sound system to go with your HDTV so the TV’s audio system would be immaterial. If this is a back-up TV, then the audio system is good enough for casual uses. I live near an airport and major road network and I don’t have any problem hearing this TV set. It would be nicer if the speakers were better but it does the job.

On the other hand, the picture quality, colors, contrast and everything else that goes with this type of TV is simply superb. I have tested out many 720p LCD set and I think this one got it all beat. This set also come with a build-in progressive scan DVD player that is tailor made for your DVD collection – that is your regular DVD collection and not the Blu-Ray or HD stuff. If this is your first HDTV buy and you got a large regular DVD collection like I do, then buying this set is definite no-brainer.

So what you have here is a 720p LCD HDTV that is definitely one of the best in its size, with a DVD player to boot and only weakness is that the audio might be slightly underpowered. I still gave it five stars in the end because the audio weakness didn’t bother me at all. Of course, my hearing could be better then the previous two reviewers.

The first impression when opening the box and examining the parts is …this is a solid piece of equipment. Many LCD sets sit precariously on stands seemingly ready to be knocked over with the slighest swipe…not this set. The Regza has a super sturdy stand that is screwed together to the panel unit. In a matter of minutes the TV is ready to be connected to the video provider. In this case we had cable and used the multi colored connectors then used the setup function to set the unit at 1080. The HD stations are crystal clear. Using the DVD is super simple. A great looking set that eliminates the need for a DVD player. A good value and highly recommended.

great HDTV w/DVD for a great price5
I researched the heck out of HDTVs that had DVDs as part of the TV mechanism. You have the option of having it up on small footings (because the TV is so light, that works well) or the option of buying extra pieces to mount directly to the wall. Ours is sitting in a nice armoire where the doors can close around it right now.

Also, again after researching Consumers Reports, Toshiba was one of the highest rated TVs, so I was very excited to find it on sale AND with free shipping at the same time right before Christmas. Definitely a great find!

Fantastic HDTV with great Analog Picture5
I couldn’t recommend this television more. I have a 56″ Samsung 1080p DLP, which I love for HD channels, but the analog viewing is mediocre at best. This Toshiba provides surprisingly crisp reception on analog channels and is great for HD. It’s also in a room that gets a lot of sun. There’s no glare whatsoever. And the footprint of built-in DVD makes it very sleek. Great TV.

Great TV/DVD combo4
We bought this TV for an exercise room and love it. The picture is great and having the DVD player built in is very convenient. We hung it on the wall so we could watch it while using our exercise bike.

The sound quality isn’t awesome but it’s certainly adequate. Since the TV also plays CDs and MP3′s, a bit more bass would have been nice, but no big deal.

Ordering from Amazon was far easier, less expensive, and very convenient since they delivered it right to our front door.

I did a bunch of research, and in this size category it came down to either the LG, or the Sharp as the best choices for TV’s currently in production with these specifications (including the built in DVD player). Looking at multiple sites for reviews the Sharp just had better overall reviews, plus the LG has a dark red bar across the bottom of the TV which I personnally thought looked a little tacky. I attached the TV to an articulated wall mount, and it fits nicely on the VESA 200X200 adapter plate that came with the wall mount. The articulated wall mount allows me to move the TV around for use in the whole room. One of the features that this TV has that I decided to use is a computer input so that the TV can also be used as a moniter. It works great in this capacity. The only thing on this TV that I would improve is that when you change the channel there is aproximately a 2 second delay before the channel comes up. In my opinion with this being the worst thing I can say about the TV, this is a great product, I would definately purchase this set again.

Great TV/DVD combo with one exception: Remote is very hard to read for some Seniors. Bought this for my mom & dad, only to find out that remote is too small for my father to be able to distinguish the various buttons/numbers with ease.

nicest 19′ combo TV / DVD5
I bought this Television because i wanted to be able to watch TV in the kitchen and on occasion have the ability to let the kids and their friends watch a DVD during meals. This is a perfect addition to the kitchen. It is pretty thin, (considering it has a built-in DVD player) and doesn’t stick out from the wall too far. It has an amazingly clear picture. The DVD feature works well and is easy to use. The remote is also really easy to use. The sound quality is adequate. I mean, who expects full surround sound in their kitchen? This is the perfect TV for watching the news while I eat breakfast. I am not going to invite the neighborhood over to watch the Super Bowl in my kitchen. If you are looking for a smaller LCD TV with DVD capability and a great picture, this is a solid choice.

Nice Combo Unit4
I bought this to replace an older and smaller analog LCD TV in a workout room. I mounted it to a small Articulating wall mount for adjustable viewing throughout the room. The speakers are not as loud as normal units, but better than expected. The unit is very lightweight even with the built-in DVD. I love the fact that this unit has a built-in DVD player as it’s perfect for playing all those workout DVDs without any other messy connections.

All-in-all, a great unit and easy to install and set-up. I just might buy another and get rid of that old analog LCD TV altogether…

Perfect for small rooms!5
I ordered this TV on a Tuesday and it was delivered on Thursday of the same week! It took me little time to set up; I kept the factory picture settings. I do not have it hooked up to an HD cable box. If I did, I’m sure the picture would be better, but I don’t want to add the extra monthly fee just now. The picture is just fine the way it is. The sound is perfect for the room at less than 1/2 volume. It played a DVD-R beautifully.

I chose this model because it not only had sufficient ports, but also a headphone jack. It’s perfect in my guest room and small enough that I could move it to another room if I wanted to. I can’t find any fault with it.
