Perfect TV for bedroom5
My wife and I have been waiting a long time for this TV. It is the first 19 inch LCD TV that we have seen with an integrated ATSC tuner which is what we needed. You can’t beat the price because last years 19″ LCD was slightly more expensive and did not include the tuner. Futhermore this TV has excellent picture. Although the contrast ratio is not as high as the 23″, surprisingly it has a higher resolution, 1440×900 as opposed to 1366×768. Having both a PC input as well as HDMI is also a major plus. I also own an older samsung HDTV and there have been several nice improvements sine then. For instance as you change channels it displays the signal type (e.g. 1080i) which wasn’t the case with my older TV. It also has all sorts of timers you can set which is perfect for the bedroom. We are using this TV as our alarm clock. Great TV!

Finally HD Tuner in the small Samsung4
I love this tv, I usually buy Samsung, I have a 32″ 3251D thats great other than crappy built in speakers. This Tv looks sweet and has great Std Def Picture, which seperates it from the cheaper brands. Most HDTV look great with HD signal but a good tv can handle dirty signals as well.

This tv is the brand new model that has both tuners built in, I can watch HBO without a cable box cluttering up my bedroom. I thought it was going to be to small even for my small Bedroom but it worked out great. best 400 buvks I ever spend on amazon, they had the best price on this model.

Havent had the bleed in problem mentioned, but all lcds have light leakage when no signal is present on an all black screen, its the backlight, this one has a pretty uniform backlight, maybe even better than the previous gen 3251D that I own. I also like the light at the bottom, it glows a nice shade of blue.

This tv woudl be perfect at 300-350 dollars but you get what you pay for, much better than the vizio 20″ at costco for about the same price….

Good picture, but the sound is suboptimal4
I was very pleased with the ease of set-up and the really sharp HD picture. I was less pleased with the harsh sound similar to my old am radio of my youth. There is not much room on this set for good speakers. I resolved my problem by plugging in a set of self amplified computer speakers that I had used with a now discarded computer.I plugged them into the earphone outlet and the sound is now very good.

Form and Function are both wonderful!5
For a 19 inch LCD HDTV, this was the best picture I saw. I went to Best Buy to compare how all the screens looked. They use Directv digital input on all their televisions, and that is what I have at home. You can not compare the clarity of a 19 inch LCD TV with a 32 inch.

This television resides in my bedroom. I have am using the stand that is attached, and have it sitting on top of a table height book case. The stand allows for tilting the screen up and down, so you can have the crispest picture from where you will be sitting. As with any LCD device, the angle at which you look at it from has a lot to do with clarity. Finding the perfect angle is well worth the few extra minutes while setting it up. The few reviews I have seen complaining about clarity might be remedied by this.

The television was very easy to set up in every way. I had my Directv DVR, dvd recorder, and Wii hooked up in minutes. The on screen menu was a snap to use. It let me name all of the components I had hooked up.

As I mentioned before, it has a beautiful stand that reminds me of an iMac. It folds back for easy wall mounting too!! I have an iBook laptop, and the white glossiness matches my television’s beautiful housing. That is nice and aestetically pleasing when I want to use my television as a monitor.

I am a novice to home theater equipment, but going from a plain old school tv to this went smoothly. I am quite pleased with my purchase.

The first movie I watched on this television was Finding Nemo. It happened to be on the Disney Channel. I was absolutely blown away by how amazing the picture looked. So much so, that I called my entire family to look at the clarity and crispness.

This sounds like a small detail to add, but I love that there is a sleep timer on this tv. I like to fall asleep to movies, and the sleep timer allows me to set it up to 180 minutes or as low as 30 minutes.

I wound up purchasing this television at Best Buy. I picked it up for approximately the same price that Amazon is offering it for. I did have to pay sales tax, but I had a discount coupon for it that was 10% off. So it worked out to being about the same price. I also bought the extended warranty, because I live in South Florida, and even with surge protection I have lost a few devices over the years.

If you decided to purchase this television, you will not be disapointed. I have been pleased as punch since I purchased it.

Better Than Expected5
I was leary after reading some of the negative reviews. I purchased one to test HDTV, PS2, XBOX 360 and computer monitor. I was surprised at the quality of the product. The sound is not amazing but you never rely on the TV sound as a source of quality surround. I always put external surround speaker system. I purchased three more, one for the PS2 in the game room, one for XBOX 360 in the game room, one as computer monitor in the office and one for HD viewing in the bedroom. No problems with ghosting or that white stuff around the perimeter of the screen. No problems whatsoever. I always use quality gold connectors and surge protectors and my family and I are very happy with the results. It is a great product and amazon has the best price (I did my research). By the way I searched everywhere to find a white quality monitor to go with the theme of my gameroom and this was all I could find. Luckily it turned out to be an absolutely great product. Good little TV update4
We bought this tv for the kitchen. We use it with Rabbit Ears and it works very well. The HD picture is excellent. Non HD are not very good. Audio is OK. Over all a good TV if you need one of this size. I suspect they may be a little over priced.

Update: We have had this TV for almost 2 months and like it better all the time. Picture quality actually is excellent on all over the air digital and HD, We only use it with attic antenna or rabbit ears. Audio is actually very good. It is built sturdy and yet very easy to move around form kitchen to patio. We could not be more satisfied with this little TV !

Just a great little TV. . .5
We bought this Samsung LN19A330 to replace an old tube TV we had in our home office. WOW! Even in full sunlight, the picture on this 19″ Samsung LCD is perfect. We have an older model of the same TV in our guest bedroom, and the difference in the newer model is clearly visible — brighter screen, more intense contrast, and the color is significantly more vivid. It is the perfect TV for a small room.

Very good product4
I had been reading many good reviews, for a long time,on Samsung’s LNT1953H & LN19A330. The latter being a discontinued item. This set was going to be used in a kitchen and ocassionally on a deck. My last 15″ LCD (non HD) had a fair picture but I wanted something better. The reviews led me to the Samsung since it had a built in HD tuner and most people felt the SD quality was “good”.
I purchased the A650 model and so far am MORE than pleased. Don’t let the “Touch of Color” deter you. This set has only a slight red color. In fact the box calls it Rose/Black. I have to look hard to see it, and i think it adds a nice touch to the normal black border. The one negative aspect of the high gloss border is that it does reflect light from the room which can sometimes be distracting…not a deal breaker however.
It has a lot of features that I am not interested in such as being able to hook up to a PC, but the HD tuner is what caught my eye.
I am able to get 12 HD channels (no box)and the picture quality is outstanding. I remember reading a couple of years ago when I was buying my 61″ HD set that someone wrote ‘HD picture on anything smaller than 32″ is not worth it since you do not see much of a picture quality change’. That statement is sooooo un-true. There is an amazing differance, even with this 19″ set. The HD chanells are absolutely amazing and i am not new to HD. I have had a JVC 61″ HD for two years.
The SD channels are very good also. Probably the best I have seen in any small set.
The set allows you to make all adjustments throught it’s menu (obviously) but also allows you to do many things with macro buttons on the remote. i.e picture size, favorite channels, sound, etc… The manual is clear and concise as is the on screen menu. The only con I have is that the TV picked up all my cable channels (86) and most are duplicated in digital (another 86) and 12 HD channels. The problem is that you cannot name the channels in the channel listing menu. You can only name them if the channels are being received “over the Air”. Through cable you cannot name them, so when you bring up the channel listings you only get their digital number; such as 201-122. I’m sure this is the same with all sets, not just Samsung. So you’ll have to make your own program guide to know what staion that actually is.
It also comes with a wall mount fixed bracket. They say it is for concrete walls but I am sure you can use it anywhere. It won’t allow you to move it right/left, but it’s not bad for a fixed bracket. You attach it to the bottom of the stand, after you flip it up; and you can easily lift the TV off the bracket to move it to another location.
Other than that, it is a great set with great picture quality and I would highly recommend it.
If I could change my “rate stars”, i would change it to 5!

I just unpacked and set this TOC Samsung HDTV up. Very easy to do. Very pretty TV! I am using only an antenna that plugs into the back of this set, I do not subscribe to cable TV. I was surprised at the number of channels it receives but they are standard antenna channels. So, if you do not have cable do not believe you will get any cable channels, unless you subscribe. I am perplexed that this Samsung TOC model does not come up in a general search for HDTV’s on Amazon. I only found it by accident because it is not pictured on the page with other Samsung models. The Red Touch is very nice, understated and barely noticeable so, do not let that stop you from buying this set. The picture on Amazon actually shows it to be redder than it really is. I actually purchased it for the red color because it’s going in my kitchen but it honestly looks black–so I was a tiny bit disappointed. I watched it briefly and the all of the channels are so beautiful and clear that even watching a boring weather channel will be mesmerizing if you have not had HDTV before. All in all, I think it’s a good buy and it seems that in all of my searches for an HDTV (months!!) Amazon really sells the HDTV’s lower than anyone else–even lower than the big box stores. They are not giving them away but the prices are lower and you can always rely on their great service. I trust them more than other vendors because they have never let me down yet. I hope Amazon makes the Samsung TOC HDTV easier for buyers to find!
